Overview

This project involved the structural design of an high end residential house, consisting of a basement with swimming pool creating a large steel frame transfer deck and combination of steel framing and oak for the superstructure.

The challenge

The primary challenge was controlling the deflection in large transfer required over the basement whilst minimising the impact on head height. Further up the structure, more challenges arose co-ordinating further transfer whilst integrating oak framing.
